Pre-requisite:

To be eligible to challenge the EC-Council CEH certification examination, the candidate has two options: Attend Official Network Security Training by EC-Council: If a candidate has completed an official EC-Council training either at an Accredited Training Center, via the iClass platform, or at an approved academic institution, the candidate is eligible to challenge the relevant EC-Council exam without going through the application process. Attempt the Exam without Official EC-Council Training: In order to be considered for the EC-Council CEH exam without attending official network security training, the candidate must have at least 2 years of work experience in the Information Security domain. If the candidate has the required work experience, they can submit an eligibility application form along with USD 100.00, a non-refundable fee.

CEH Certification: FAQs

Is CEH certification necessary to take a job in ethical hacking?

CEH is the most widely recognized and highly demanded certification in ethical hacking. However, it is not an absolute requirement to make a career in ethical hacking.

What are the prerequisites for CEH certification?

Before attending a CEH training course you should ideally possess at least two years of IT experience, a good knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Server, and a basic familiarity with Linux and/or Unix.

Will I get training from a real ethical hacker?

There are various authorized training providers who provide training and certification for CEH. The real-time trainers are highly qualified and well skilled in the field to give you valuable and practical information.

Can I retake the CEH certification?

Yes, you can retake the certification five times in the time period of 12 months by paying the additional fee. However, if you have passed the examination you cannot take it again.
